This past week was very big for EDM in the sense that from coast to coast we had very big events going on. From New York home of the Giants’ Metlife Stadium To California’s Historic L.A Shrine. If you live in NY and are big EDM fan you caught Afrojack, Armin Van Burren, Avicii, Bassnectar, Calvin Harris, and Nero to name few for New York’s first EDC. Although we didn’t attend, on the west coast we had the legendary trance group Above and Beyond bring us their Group Therapy tour for three incredible nights. Click through for the full review.

We caught Above and Beyond for their first night in LA and when we got there we saw the exit of electronica DJ Andrew Bayer and from the sounds of the crowd he had everyone going insane. Above and Beyond came on next and these guys definitely know how to set the mood for everyone to have an amazing night. Throughout the whole experience the LED screen used its amazing affects by interacting with the crowd as if it were telling a story displaying words throughout the entire show.

Above and Beyond truly has a lot of love for LA and at one point in the show they chose a lucky fan to come up on stage and DJ for them. Now of course all Above and Beyond songs are great and some stand out more then others but the personal favorites which we will be sharing with you is “On My way To Heaven,” “Thing Called Love,” and “You Got to Go” which had everyone singing in the crowd together at the top of their lungs. The amazingly emotional track “Sun and Moon” was played in one of their closing moments of the show and as mentioned a lucky fan was given the opportunity to soak up the energy of the crowd. Overall Group Therapy is intended for any EDM lover and if they are ever in your area I suggest you check these guys out because no one knows how to control the crowd from beginning to end without any let down. After experiencing Group Therapy with Above and Beyond I understand why they set up three nights for it. This event got us so pumped and ready as we only have 17 more days till Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas.
