Last Friday night at Avalon Hollywood was huge! Control Fridays was sold out for a night with Bro Safari, Torro Torro, and ETC!ETC! Arriving early was a must and if you didn’t have a ticket, I hope you had good luck getting in. With a line out the door and being packed inside early on, Avalon was about to turn up!
We made perfect timing as we arrived as Torro Torro was beginning their set. As soon as you heard their first beat, pure energy lit up the dance floor. If you know Torro Torro then you know their signature bass line is fire and when you hear it drop it just makes you want to dance. Torro Torro dropped several of their killer remixes such as their remix to Wax Motif feat. Neoteric’s “Go Deep,” and Autoerotique Feat. Marissa Jack’s “Roll The Drums.” This was our first time catching Torro Torro live and it was definitely a favorite.
Bro Safari came up next and by this point Avalon was filled and you had to make sure to secure your spot on the dance floor. You do not want to be going back and forth while Bro Safari is on. His set was absolute mayhem dropping trap and moombahton bangers left and right. Bro Safari just recently released his latest EP with UFO! titled Animal, so we heard some brand new tracks. He also dropped some fan favorites like “Scumbag,” “The Drop,” and RL Grimes remix of “Satisfaction” by Benny Benassi. If only this set could have been recorded live we would have it bumping in our cars right now.
Finally ETC!ETC! took the stage to keep the party going. He completely turnt up Avalon with a mind blowing set. There was so much good music going on we didn’t know what to do with ourselves. ETC!ETC! dropped his bootleg to Big Sean’s “Guap,” Gent & Jawns “Turn Up,” as well as “Earthquake” by DJ Fresh & Diplo. We have to say ETC!ETC!’s robot logo looked pretty damn awesome up on that LED screen. This had to have been one of our favorite nights at Avalon and we can’t wait for what’s to come. As always Avalon and Control Fridays put on the best Friday night shows in Hollywood. Keep up to date with everyone at the following links.
