On Sunday, LED Presents and We Are Massiv teamed up for a show at the Fonda Theatre in Hollywood. 12th Planet, DJ Craze aka Crazeroni, AC Slater and Clicks & Whistles were in the middle of a small three city tour which went from Pomona to LA and is now ending in San Diego tonight. A lot of DJs came out to support 12th Planet such as gLAdiator, Brillz, and Protohype. To start the night, Clicks & Whistles opened with AC Slater’s performing next. The special guest of the night was the legendary DJ Craze, who has been the only DJ to win The DMC World DJ Championships from 1998-2000. Craze definitely has his own style of mixing when it comes to blending hip-hop, trap and scratching. My favorite part of his set was when he started scratching to Dr. Dre’s “Next Episode” and then transitioned to Jay-Z’s “La La LA” while finally fading away with a simple beat. Craze puts on great show mixing all types of classic hip-hop but he also plays songs we are familiar with like Carnage’s “Michael Jordan” and Ace Hood’s “Bugatti.”

When it was time for 12th Planet, Craze dropped YG’s “My N*gga” and 12th Planet came onto the stage. 12th Planet never let down and took over the Fonda Theatre with his classic dubstep to his new trap beats. During the first part of his set he brought out Protohype and played songs they worked on together such as “Fungus,” “Paper,” and “Brick.” 12th Planet made sure not to step away from his dubstep roots and dropped his classics like “Burst” which features Kill The Noise and Skrillex as well as “Right on Time.” To close out the night, 12th Planet told everyone to come to the front of the stage so he could take a picture with his Los Angeles locals. After the photo, the Los Angeles stop for the We Are Massiv tour was over. 12th Planet and the whole team completely killed it all night. It was a dark intimate setting that had me feeling the music all night. If you’re in the San Diego area, I definitely recommend you catch the show tonight.
