Last Friday, to start of the New Year of 2014, I ventured to Avalon Hollywood for their weekly installment of Control. This week it was a sold out night filled with mainly trap music and a little mix of house thanks to Whiiite. The headliner that night was hometown native ETC!ETC! who brought out that heavy trap bass through the Avalon speaker sets. ETC!ETC! has played Avalon before at last year’s Bro Safari Animal House tour and I can honestly say I was very excited to see him headline. I knew he was going to go all in for his Los Angeles crowd.

To start off the night Control resident, DJ Whiiite, opened up and he dropped some huge trap hits like Bro Safari’s “The Drop” and Carnage and Heroes x Villains remix to “Mammoth” which is a personal favorite of mine. Next came ETC!ETC! and he definitely didn’t let anything get in his way of bringing us an explosive set. The thing I’ve noticed about DJs playing in there hometown is that they play all their exclusive tracks and bangers. ETC!ETC!’s set included a variety of tracks like Diplo’s “Crown” and his remix to Calvin Harris’ “Sweet Nothing.”

As he dropped his new remix to Luniz’s “I got Five on It,” he brought Whiiite on stage and they both stood on the DJ table to hype up the crowd. Finally, ETC!ETC! told the crowd to go crazy one last time to his remix with Jesse Slayter to “Without You” By Dillon Francis featuring T.E.E.D. which was a perfect track to close out his amazing set. The track starts off with a relaxed melody and as the trap drop hit, the song kept us dancing till the final beat hit the turntables. If ETC!ETC! is ever playing a show in your hometown, I highly suggest you jump on those tickets. I can’t wait to see what he’s got ready for the rest of 2014.
