New Year’s Eve was absolutely massive this year! LED Presents brought back their annual OMFG NYE event in Los Angeles and San Diego, and for the first time ever they expanded the event to 3 nights. While we live in Los Angeles, we set out on a little road trip to attend OMFG NYE in San Diego. The three-day event took place on December 29-31st at the San Diego Valley View Casino Center from 9pm to 4am each night. Although the event was at the beginning of the week, the entire venue filled up for an insane 3 nights of music from world famous DJs.

This year’s main stage consisted of three sections. Two giant LED screens were raised up on both the left and right side of the center stage. The visuals were absolutely insane with tons of lasers shooting from every direction. For the first time ever, LED added a second stage named The Zoo. This stage hosted more of the up and coming DJs, but was still totally packed the entire time.

The lineup for night one consisted of Hardwell, Madeon, Bassjackers, Dyro, What So Not, Botnek, Anna Lunoe, Kill The Buzz, TWRK, DJ Sliink, Hoodboi, Falcons, Nadus and Kittens. Night two’s lineup consisted of Slander, Borgore, Tiesto, Flosstradamus, TJR, Bro Safari, Dzeko & Torres, MOTi, Snakehips, SNBRN, Trippy Turtle, Wiwek, Astronomar, Hot Fire, and Klatch. Fans were treated to all different types of electronic dance music such as house, big room, dubstep, trap, and deep house.

Night one started with a bang as we entered the venue with Botnek throwing down their signature sound of dirty beatz. For us the highlights of night one had to be What So Not, Madeon, and Hardwell. The three DJs played one after the other at the main stage for 4 hours of straight madness. Switching from What So Not’s bass-heavy tracks, to Madeon’s nu-disco sounds to Hardwell’s festival progressive and big room was straight up nuts. Highlights from night two have to go to Flosstradamus and Tiesto. As soon as Flosstradamus came out waving their flags around the energy on the dance floor completely turned up with all the HDYBYZ and HDYGRLZ racing to the main stage. Flosstradamus dropped all their classic trap anthems and had the entire dance floor off their feet. Tiesto jumped on right after and kept the dance floor raging with a banging set from beginning to end. He dropped tons of fan favorites as well as tracks off his latest album, A Town Called Paradise.

OMFG NYE went off amazingly this year and we wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. The lineup was incredible, the venue and production was awesome, and the vibe of the crowd absolutely perfect. If you’ve never been to an LED event, we recommend you do so as soon as you can. Their next event is LED Anniversay in February and tickets can be purchased here.
