Claude VonStroke: Live In Detroit brings you some of the best songs from the present and past Dirtybird label. With over 4 months of preparation and 10 appearances in past Movement Festivals, this one was special to the Dirtybird General. Not only did he play in the city he was raised in before moving to San Fransisco, but he also got his first headlining spot. From start to finish Claude played a huge variety of Dirtybird singles with VIP edits from different artists like Catz N Dogz, Mikey Lion, And Sacha Robotti as well as remixing one of his classics, “Who’s Afraid of Detroit.” While personally attending this set, Claude really showed how much he loves the city of Detroit. You could feel the warmth and excitement from the crowd as everyone went wild and whistled during different drops throughout the set.
Claude said “I’ve played Movement more than 10 times, and every time it’s one of the most nerve-racking shows of the year,” said VonStroke. “I always want to bring the hottest possible set for Detroit, it’s where it all started, and my parents always come watch. My set is very much an old-school style DJ set, all music no-one’s heard before, special versions, secret edits, all the stuff I’ve been saving just for this performance. It seems crazy to release a mix album in today’s world, but the amount of incredible original music I have collected from both known and unknown producers will make this something people can get really excited about.”
