Oliver Heldens kicks off 2026 with his first single of the year, “Run,” out now via Heldeep Records. Following the breakout success of his reimagining of “Lady (Hear Me Tonight),” Heldens returns with a high-energy, garage-infused heater that marks a powerful start to a new chapter.

“Lady” became one of his most supported records in recent years, earning backing from some of the biggest names in electronic music, including Calvin Harris, Carl Cox, Martin Garrix, Armin van Buuren, Hardwell, ALOK, and Afrojack, among countless others! The single continues to build momentum commercially, currently climbing the German Radio Top 40 chart at #17.
Building on that global success, “Run” pushes Oliver’s sound forward while maintaining the undeniable drive that defines his productions. Heldens leans into a garage-house direction, layered with progressive trance textures and his signature melodic flair. Rolling basslines, euphoric builds, and kinetic rhythms create a track that lives up to its name – engineered to keep the energy high whether on a packed dancefloor, on a festival stage, or during an intense workout session.
“Last year, towards the end of summer, I had been hearing PinkPantheress’ hit ‘Illegal’ many times, and I loved how they used that Underworld ‘Dark and Long’ synth sample. Inspired by that synth, I wanted to do something similar, but a bit more melodic and melancholic, and that’s how the idea for ‘Run’ originated,” Heldens says. “While developing the idea into a fresh ‘Trance meets Deep House’ groover, I was quite inspired by the likes of KETTAMA and Chris Stussy. Chris really liked the track and gave me some useful feedback. After trying many different vocals on the track, there was this ‘Run’ vocal sample that turned out to be a match made in heaven. It’s simple and catchy, but it holds a lot of emotion, and it just goes along so nicely with the melancholic trance chord synths and the funky deep house bassline. I love this track, and it’s been great to see all the positive reactions from fans already. Enjoy!”
In support of the release, Oliver Heldens embarks on a strong international run across Europe and North America. First up is London’s iconic Roundhouse, with further headline performances in Cologne, Miami, San Francisco, and Toronto, plus festival stops at ASOT Rotterdam, Tomorrowland Winter and Summer, Ultra Music Festival, Escapade, and a lot more to be announced – underscoring his continued global demand.
