Review: Cazzette @ Avalon Hollywood 2/8/13

On Friday the 8th of February Cazzette made their way back to the Avalon in Hollywood for another performance sure to not be forgotten. With the help of Project 46, James Egbert & Kayzo this would be another night filled with some amazing electro house music. Click through the break for the full review.

Although the show was not sold out we could feel the good vibes and good energy right upon entering Avalon. Project 46 had the crowd dancing on their feet by playing hit songs such as Swedish House Mafia’s “Greyhound,” Deadmau5′ “The Veldt,” and Porter Robinson’s “Language.” There is something about playing Porter Robinson that makes everyone go crazy. Around midnight Project 46 ended their set and James Egbert took the stage.

James Egbert switched up the vibe immediately by throwing on some heavy bass filled electro which gained everyones attention towards the the front. While his giant “JE” logo flashed on the LED screen and lasers shot through the air people were shuffling on the dance floor. Several times CO2 was shot down into the crowd during the set which is always a great feeling. For a good few seconds you feel that cold air and can’t seeing anything around you. If you have never heard James Egbert’s track “Chopper” I suggest  you do yourself a favor and check it out.

Finally the moment we all waited for was Cazzette. They jumped on stage wearing their famous Cassette Tape heads and everyone went wild. Cazzette played some bangers that night including their remix to Jay-Z & Kanye West’s “N**gas In Paris” as well as a remix to Calvin Harris’ “Sweet Nothing.” When Cazzette wear those heads it creates so much more energy within the crowd. Cazzette also played one of their new singles titled “Beam Me Up” which is definitely a fan favorite. Cazzette even decided to dive into some trap music as they played RL Grimes’ remix to Benny Bennassi’s “Satisfaction.” Cazzette killed it for their entire set with banger after banger. Their energy on stage totally kept the energy of the crowd going and to finally close out the night was Kayzo. Unfortunately were’t able to stay past Cazzette but we only hear good things of Kayzo’s set. For more head to the following links.
